They were blessed with glorious sunshine and the BBQ, cocktails and games lent themselves perfectly to the occasion. There were some gorgeous blooms in an array of pinks, with Peonies and Roses taking centre stage. Plus some fun touches included a rustic sign post, ladder décor and hay bale seating too.
How beautiful did Dawn look in ‘Bluebell’ by Sassi Holford? WOW. Meanwhile the gents were suited in booted in an informal look by Ted Baker.
Summer dreaming today courtesy of Graham and Dawn, who were married on the 27th August 2015 at Barnsley House in the Cotswolds. They hoped to create a really relaxed garden party which focused on their nearest and dearest rather than the details.
Thanks so much to Divine Day Photography for sharing these absolutely stunning images with us.

THE PROPOSAL | Sat on a storm damaged tree overlooking the River Wear at Lumley Castle in Durham (the scene of our first weekend away together).
THE VISION | To create a relaxed, afternoon tea / BBQ / garden party followed by a house party and somewhere in between two people got married! We just didn’t want it to feel like a standard wedding and wanted it to be informal and much more of a party / celebration than a wedding.
THE READINGS & MUSIC | Music: Nick Drake – Time has Told Me.
Title: Passage from Bob Marley song. Read by: Brent Thurrell.
THE DETAILS & DÉCOR | Being surrounded by amazing friends and family and the décor was minimal due to the amazing venue, but any additional touches were supplied by Adorning Angels to make our day truly memorable.
THE HONEYMOON | Surprise (by the groom) ‘Mini-Moon’ in Paris. Main honeymoon yet to be booked!
MEMORABLE MOMENTS | Too many to mention! The readings, the weather, the people, the venue……….
ADVICE FOR OTHER COUPLES | Just do it your way and ignore ‘protocol’. Weddings don’t have to follow a formula and your day should say something about the people you are.
Title: Passage from Wild Awake by Hilary T. Smith. Read by: Nina Johnson.
Title: Self-written. Read by: Laura D’Arcy.
BEAUTIFUL BRIDESMAIDS | Nicola Young and Josie D’Arcy.
THE FLOWERS | Relaxed and random country garden flowers supplied by Aqua Florist.
YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER | The truly magnificent Sandra Von Riekhoff
THE PLANNING PROCESS | We did everything in 6 months from start to finish and, honestly, it was a breeze. We decided on the TYPE OF DAY WE WANTED, which was more friends than family, and a small wedding, and just went for it! As result we had an absolute blast!
THE VENUE | Barnsley House, Barnsley, Cirencester.
THE DRESS & ACCESSORIES | Atelier Bride in Alderley Edge, Cheshire. Jimmy Choo Shoes and jewellery supplied by a friend.
FINDING THE DRESS | What a story! After finding what I thought was the perfect dress, it turned out not to be as I was let down. However, Rachel at Atelier came to the rescue and introduced me to ‘Bluebell’ by Sassi Holford, which was perfect in every single way. The fact that my ‘husband to be’ approved, was also a bonus.
GROOM’S ATTIRE | Casual mismatched outfit from Ted Baker.
